Long Beach Transit

Long Beach, California

Project Overview

Relocation Strategies was retained by Long Beach Transit to spearhead LBT’s overall effort in relocating its headquarters to a 180,000 sf building the organization purchased near Long Beach Airport.  LBT intends to occupy the top two floors and a portion of the ground floor of the eight-story building and lease the remaining portion.

The building will be completely renovated, and the initial effort will be to reconfigure LBT’s two floors, redo the lobby and “white box” one of the other floors in order to generate leasing activity.

Even prior to purchasing the building, LBT brought Relocation Strategies in to assist in the entire planning effort, including selection of the building’s property manager and general contractor and of the project architect.  We also operate as Owner’s Advocate, a particular focus when construction commences.

Relocation Strategies also is responsible for all aspects of the relocation, including new furniture procurement, assembling all vendors for the move, onsite management of furniture and IT installation as well as the commercial mover, and decommissioning LBT’s current building, which it will continue to operate from.
