“I am so appreciative of the guidance and direction you provided to make sure our relocation was a success. The executives were completely impressed with how smoothly the move went.”

– Kyle Sherburne, Manager of Real Estate Holdings

Foundation Building Materials, INC.

Project Overview

Relocation Strategies was retained to execute the relocation of the headquarters of Foundation Building Materials, a publicly traded national distributor of construction materials with more than 170 locations. Having seen its headquarters grow into three locations, FBM consolidated the offices into the first floor of a multi-story building.

By directing a multi-phase relocation effort, Relocation Strategies enabled FBM to move its 91 employees, including case goods and workstations, ahead of a long weekend to avoid additional labor costs. This was accomplished even as the building was not ready at the onset of the physical move. Relocation Strategies quickly instituted both onsite and offsite staging plans in order to complete the placement of all contents by the required Friday.

However, completion of the furniture installation was held up by a delay in the building receiving its certificate of occupancy. That was arranged over the weekend, after which Relocation Strategies arranged for an additional crew to arrive Tuesday morning to complete the installation and placement of all items that day.
