Project Overview
Relocation Strategies has helped plan and manage several major relocations for DHL. The first project was the relocation to the newly constructed 525,000 square foot sort facility which occurred in 2002. The second and more complex relocation involved relocating the CVG facility nearly 60 miles away to Wilmington, Ohio where DHL was expanding into a newly designated 1,000,000+ square foot ILN Hub facility.
Relocation Strategies was contracted to coordinate the relocation of DHL’s North American Sort Center from Greater Cincinnati Airport to Wilmington, Ohio. This project involved the relocation of all airline and ground-sort operations. RSI’s responsibilities included project definition & coordination, project scheduling/responsibility matrix, hosting weekly team meetings, staff assignment plan, telecommunications coordination, mover coordination, rigging coordination, PC support services, equipment and furnishings plan, creation of support vendor RFP’s, budget tracking, post move support & help desk, communication plan, and on site coordination to name a few.
